Residencies

Explore our International Network

Integral to the program are courses that take place at our distinguished partner institutions in various parts of the world. These "residencies" expose participants of the ESSEC & MANNHEIM Executive MBA to a broader variety of business attitudes, methods and perspectives. Thus, they provide them with first-hand experience of international business practices and allow them to make valuable contacts worldwide. An extensive global network of partner institutions contributes to the organization of residencies. The partner institutions are carefully selected by the program and include leading business schools such as the Instituto de Empresa in Madrid, Tongji University in Shanghai and others. The residencies are incorporated into the academic curriculum and offer unique insights into local business and are leading in their respective areas of research.

In response to the needs and areas of interest of each group, destinations and topics may vary from one class to the next. Recent residencies have taken place in Spain, Belgium, Sweden, Hungary, China and Singapore. Residency themes include:

  • Leading and Managing Change
  • Understanding the European Environment
  • Management in Growth Economies
  • Global Corporations and the Global Environment
