ESSEC and Mannheim Business School firmly believe in the value of diversity for our society as a whole and the business world. Diversity drives innovation and leads towards a more holistic and sustainable business approach, which ultimately has a positive effect on the bottom line as well. This belief is not limited to the notion of gender, but includes other dimensions such as nationality, ethnicity as well as cultural and educational backgrounds.
Statistically less women currently make the decision to accelerate their professional development through management education and we are particularly committed to reaching out and supporting women considering an MBA program in order to achieve their professional goals.
As part of this commitment, ESSEC and MANNHEIM Business School have introduced a new biannual conference series, targeted specifically at a female audience. The first event in the series took place on June 11, 2010 in Paris, focussing on questions of Women, Empowerment and Leadership.
The second and also very successful event, Aligning Professional & Family Life - Perspectives from Politics, Industry and Education, took place in Mannheim on December 3, 2010.
