When Mihai Socina, an engineer with a doctorate in civil engineering from the Vienna University of Technology, came across the ESSEC & MANNHEIM Executive MBA, he was searching for a way to enhance his business knowledge whilst continuing to pursuit his career.
The program instantly appealed to him, as it offered the combination of a globally well-ranked program with the convenience of a weekend format, allowing him to run his projects and increase his knowledge in parallel.
One of his biggest take-aways: "Diversity really works! Working with so many people from different cultural backgrounds, with different experiences and capabilities, was a great experience. And the results of our discussions were impressive!"
Other highlights were the residencies in the U.S. and Asia, where international management practices became tangible: "The program was the key to understanding current challenges of global business, ranging from basics like international accounting to high-level topics such as global strategy."
During the program Socina discovered his passion for operational and organizational challenges and upon graduation successfully embarked on a new career with McKinsey & Company. As he puts it: "The ESSEC & MANNHEIM EMBA was a real career enabler for me."
