After several years of international leadership experience in various industries, Marc Setzen, ESSEC & MANNHEIM Modular EMBA Class of 2010, wanted to further hone his general management skills.
With this goal in mind, it did not take him long to find his way to Mannheim: „I was looking for an Executive MBA program with an excellent reputation in Germany and Europe and a team-oriented learning methodology, which is why I selected the ESSEC & MANNHEIM EMBA."
Asked about the program's highlights, Setzen has a hard time deciding: "Difficult to say as it was a great experience in total. But the intense group work and the dynamic we developed as a class as well as the residency in Singapore were among my personal highlights."
One thing, however, he is very certain about: "I consider the ESSEC & MANNHEIM EMBA a long-term investment in executive training, managerial advancement, global networking and – more than that – in my personal development.
The ROI of such an invest goes far beyond what can be measured in terms of profitability and contributions to the bottom line: Assuming that I have roughly another 40 years to put to use the skills and experiences I gained, you would not even need an EMBA to figure out that it was worth doing it."
Marc Setzen currently holds the position of Vice President, Operations Europe & Asia at Klöckner Pentaplast GmbH.
