With a background in natural science and working at the time for a Japanese company, Sergej Serov, ESSEC & MANNHEIM Modular EMBA Class of 2011, realized early on in his career that in order to advance, he had to enhance his business knowledge and skills.
The ESSEC & MANNHEIM Executive MBA appealed to him because of its convenient part-time format. The decisive factor, however, was the thought-through, practice-oriented curriculum. And, looking back now, Serov sees his expectations more than met:
"The ESSEC & MANNHEIM Executive MBA not only provided me with the tools and knowledge I needed, but opened new perspectives as well. Moreover, the program has considerably enriched my professional network and helped me make new friends."
His personal highlight? Hard to decide: "In its own way, every module was exciting and a highlight to the class. For most of us, the most memorable and challenging experience was, without a doubt, working on the entrepreneurial project and the social project in parallel to the classes as well as your job."
But Serov, in fact, very much enjoys working in a high-octane environment: Shortly after graduating in 2011, he joined the Zurich office of The Boston Consulting Group as a management and strategy consultant.
